Has anybody read the new distrowatch review slightly better one on this beta by Susan Linton.
"It was polished, stable, functional, and best of all, much prettier. My hope was restored. SimplyMEPIS was back".
And this was also wriiten by Susan "For now SimplyMEPIS is looking good and holds a lot of promise for this upcoming release".
Despite KDE still being version 3.5.3 and much of the same software is offered, the updated look and feel as well as the X server and promise of Beryl does seem to justify a version bump mid-cycle for SimplyMEPIS.

It was nice to see that she has a good grasp of appropriate expectations for a beta release, instead of 'dissing' it to death.
