Mepis 6.5 beta 7
Despite my post concerning Mepis 6.5 beta 5 it seems a lot has been fixed with beta 7. For that matter everything that gave me problems
in 6.5 beta 5 seems to have disappeared. The installed of beta 7 worked smoothly without a hitch. I'm using the Desktop Kernel, the new Nvidia Driver, and my wifi installed as it has in the past with 6.0 with no problems. I realize the purpose of a beta is to find bugs and to report them. That's not my intention here right now. . . .
This beta hasn't so far revealed any bugs yet to me in so far as installation and setup, though some may possibly exist somewhere. . .
So far this package works very well. I've been installing other packages to boot, (i.e.newest Celestia, Stellarium, Google-earth, Picasa, Inkscape, Dia, Gambas, Hydrogen, Qcad, Hugin 7 beta 4, Lazarus, mc, Krusader and others.
I realize I'll probably have to do it all again when the Final version is out for distribution. I don't mind. . . Anyways this beta version has in my eyes been very good and successful for the most part. Warren and everyone who has contributed to development of this software Distro have done a fine job despite (what seemed to many was my harsh criticism of 6.5 beta 5.. . . this wasn't my purpose and It may have definitely come across that way to some of the readers. . . for that I do apologize.
I guess what I had assumed incorrectly was that when a beta version comes out with a higher number than the previous version that (things that worked with the previous version would still work and the new bugs one finds address things not found in the previous version. . . Anyways my apologies to anyone and everyone who may have been upset by my post.

Hi Richard, Glad this one
Hi Richard,
Glad this one works for you. Beta development can be bumpy, as you have now experienced. Glad you didn't lose faith, and god to still have you around.
Cheers
