in the system menu (in the

in the system menu (in the panel), you will find a number of MEPIS assistants. Use MEPIS X windows assistant, click tab ATI and choose fglrx. Click apply and wait for install to complete. When done, logout and press Ctrl-backspace to restart X server (the Linux graphical environment). Login again, but first click session and choose KDE 3d. Things should work now....

EDIT:
look here for one of the outstanding Saist Mepisguides http://www.mepisguides.com/Mepis-6/fglrx/ati-driver-installation-part-1.html

I can't connect to internet because wireless is not working.
My laptop has some broadcom card, not recognized in Mepis...

Is there a way to install ati driver offline?

I would get internet working

I would get internet working first --
Blacklist bcm43xx driver, then use ndiswrapper with your Windows drivers

http://www.mepis.org/docs/en/index.php/Any_card_using_the_Broadcom_43xx_chipset

Then Saist's guide should get the ATI driver working for you.

Beryl Works WIth the radeon Driver

The radeon driver should have been installed by default. It provides 3D with compositing. It fglrx driver does not support compositing. You must use the radeon driver if you want to run Beryl.

To properly install the fglrx driver (but no Beryl!) you should install it with the MEPIS XConfig Assistant.

I installed 64 bit version

I installed 64 bit version of Mepis and wireless is working!!!

I am using default radeon driver but still no luck with beryl.

I'm now having some issues with laptop fans, they are not working properly.I'm booting with commands "noapic nolapic" and they are helping cause without that fans are running at full speed all the time but now they work at lower speed and I think they don't start spinning at right temperature...
How can I change that??

Everything else works GREAT and I'm very thankfull for all advices you give me!

Now I tried KPowersave,and

Now I tried KPowersave, and set active scheme at powersave and fans are working as they should Smiling
