b7 Install dies/locks-up at 33%

Five tries at installation on a "clean" hd and each time it locks up at 33%?!
I await b8?

Installation lock up
MD5 is OK, worked OK in live mode both in and out of Beryl, Multiple partitions, 1 Fat32, 1 - / root, 1 - /home, and 1 -swap. root & home as ext 3, on an 80 gig WD drive.

And so far since Beta4 I can say things have gone pretty smooth for installation.

First, can you test the memory of your PC, use testmem utility from GRUB menu (it will take a bit). By the way, how much memory do you have?
I understand you run auto-install, right? Can you try to partition with QTParted and install using custom install to see if that works?

I'll give all you've suggested a try, at the moment I'm looking for a hardware error in either my system RAM (512) or video RAM (128).

Installation lock up
As a user I've seen this before, MD5 sum check. Question did you get it in Live Mode, did this lock-up occur only during installation, did you create 2 or more partitions, if so, what filesystem type are you using ext3 or reiserfs.
