Mepis saves the day!!!

I just installed Mepis this morning on my laptop a toshiba 2775xdvd and it works great!
I recently had to fomat it to get the virus Microsoft ME off the system. Then to top things off my windows 98 disk wouldn't install correctly. My laptop had been gathering dust for the last month. Just the other day I was thinking about my old DOS days and some ealier experments with OS/2 and linux. So I looked at all the different flavors of Linux out there and Mepis fit what I needed. It look about 45 mins for everything maybe a bit less, but once it was finished my old laptop had come to life! Once again I could surf the internet and watch dvd's! I use my laptop all the time when I am playing a game in order to look up game information, or watch a movie. Dropping to windows is seldom a good idea while you are in a game.
