Everytime i try to log on KDE 3D i get i white screen, then a black screen and then i go back to the login screen.

The only thing i can suggest is try the 32 bit cd, im thinking there may be more up to date drivers & most are happy with it instead. The 64 bit version i suspect is not as mature in the driver department.

The Radeon IGP chipsets do not have discrete video ram. They share system ram much like the Intel i8xx chips, and VIA/S3 ProSavage/Twister chips. There is support for 2D and 3D acceleration for the IGP chipsets in DRI and Mesa CVS. There is no 3D for Xpress 200M Northbridge integrated gpus due to undisclosed memory initialisation (july 2006).
You won't be able to use Beryl on that system until
A: ATi adds AIGLX support
B: Use the Novell/Suse XGL X-server
C: X.org supports Radeon Xpress 200m
The radeon driver is wrong

The radeon driver is wrong as it does not support your graphic card - it is just too new. Try fglrx instead. That is the official driver ATi made.
It does not support AiGLX, but Xgl, so just use it instead. Then everything should work fine.
I don't know, if MEPIS ships Xgl out-of-box, so just try it, after you installed fglrx via the MEPIS Network tool...
Good Luck! (Otherwise you'll have to install Xgl manually. Not too hard btw...)
Correct, but not that easy to install XGL

I don't recommend installing XGL in Mepis ... just use the fglrx driver and don't use Beryl with X200M
If you really have to try Beryl, you can get the Sabayon live DVD and see how that works ... or install Sabayon to dual boot with Mepis ... Sabayon supports XGL and AIGLX out of the box ... but most people wouldn't like Sabayon nearly as well as Mepis.

Who said that??? That is a great distro, too. Based upon the great Gentoo-Distro! Okay, it is not the fastest Distro, but it is great anyway.
I have the same problem on
