Media buttons and FN keys

Hi,
I have a dell e1405 and I'm using the 6.5 rc1 version of mepis. I was wondering if it's possible to get the fn keys working and media buttons or if I have to permanently live without them. If it possible to fix, any help would be most appreciated!
