lost internet connection on 6.5 beta 7

After last update I lost ability to connect to the internet. I installed a different HD to check the card and it worked fine. is there a fix or do I just reinstall?

Thanks Jim - that worked...
There is still another problem (I will post in appro area) but it seems that when I boot into root it goes straight to terminal and when I close terminal the OS reboots.

This just happened to me with the live update of 6.5: checking the "on boot" box and also switching from manual to automatic detection of DHCP fixed it.

Try System Configuration (settings)>Internet and Network>MEPIS Network Assistant > interfaces and put a check in start at boot and start when plugged, then reboot & see if they stick. Updates did that to me a couple of times on b7 and that fixed it.
