Now I know why I recently (6.5 RC1) had a LOT of problems rebooting my laptop. WinXP (/dev/sda) wouldn't boot anymore and neither would my installed Mepis 6.5 RC1 (/dev/sdb). I
Both harddisks showed up as ACTIVE bootdisks in Gparted.
The downside is also that this bug rendered the LiveCD completely useless for re-installing grub [IF one is unaware of the "cross-over effect"].
I had to use my System Rescue disk to 'repair' this.
I reported it to Warren too.
btw: I did NOT experience this problem on 6.5 RC2 (64bit).
Everything showed up and installed as intended. Fixed?
