making display work out the box

I am using pentinum 3&4 intel.To get boot menu to display correctly-I change live cd resolution-f3 to 1024x768 then tab to bottom of page and changed to 788 from 791-then boot regularly-this makes display show correctly when booting all RC 6.5 distro's -it also works on many other systems such as amd.Setting are maintained with these settings when installed to HD.Hope this helps someone else.thanks John
