Used wrong nVidia setup trying to get beryl to work

Used wrong nVidia setup trying to get beryl to work and now I cannot boot into Mepis. It loads to the point where it says Ctl-Alt-F7 or F8 for graphics login... then there is only a black screen.
Is this something that can be fixed from CLI or do I just reinstall? If I recall correctly it is 6.0 Beta 5 (maybe up to Beta 7).

Boot from the cd

Boot up from the live CD and go to the X Window Assistant and have it reinstall the X Configuration. This will put you back on the nv driver and you should be able to reboot back to the installed system.
