.WMV streaming... works, but how !?
My local National TV: www.dr.dk << the national Danish radio, stream TV i .wmv format.
I'd been biting a HARD time trying to get it work on my Mepis 6.0-1 ..... and it does now !?
But, I realy dont' know what did the trick ?
I'd messed around alot, with almost any awailble player and codec.
When it works, I'm using Konqueror and, I guess, Xine. The demux complaines quite a bit, saing:
xine: couldn't find demux for >http://www.dr.dk/odp/&bitrate=low<
input_http: content length = 170 bytes
xine: found input plugin : http input plugin
When pressing "OK", Konqueror use to crash, but it dont anymore. Infact, I can now see any streamed program, they broardcast.
But, I realy got NO idear, what so ever, what I did to make it work.
- I may have F*** up alot of conf's
If some of you guys like to figure it out, I'm more than willing to up' any of my conf's or what ever information you need to solv this one.
A little twist on the story:
Danish law tell the national radio/Tv company to stream in a format anyone can use. So, for the moment they are working on streaming in MPEG4.
I guess a lot of you guys out there, want to, but cant' whatch .wmv stream, this is a change to figure it out.

Well, the backside is that:
Anyone who got a internetconnection larger than: 256/128 must pay a kind of "media-tax".
But, on the other hand, the national TV i free of commercials and Independent on Economy and politic.

It's refreshing to see that some nations pass laws that make sense.
