What I'm working on now

I have started working on the first episode but Matt's connection is making it a bit of a bugger in places. What I may end up doing is just putting question marks in the places that I can't make out and if someone else knows what was said they can edit it.

Also, I'll be out of town for the weekend. When I get back Sunday night I will start working on the new episode so I can get that out as soon as possible. The first episode is almost two weeks old so a few more days shouldn't make a big differance.

I'll go ahead and post what I've gotten done this evening on episode 1 and add to it latter this coming week.

I want to thank AdianTM and Jerry bond for getting the transcript posted to the right place.

Now I'm going to burn some SimplyMEPIS32 6.5 CD's to hand out to the family this weekend. Eye-wink

Thanks Byco

Hi,

I'd like to thank you for volunteering to make the transcripts of the Mepis Talks.

Regards, Ko

No, thank you!

Those transcriptions are a terrific service to the community, and everybody is going to use and appreciate them for a long time.

For everybody else's info: the podcasts are available here:

Community page, Community issues section --> Communications from MEPIS --> Podcasts

There is also an index there of MEPIS news by area (Dev Status, Events, etc.).

Sorry, I've not been able to

Sorry, I've not been able to work on the transcripts the past month. I work seasonally and this has been one of those springs that things have gotten a little wild, bad for personal projects but good for the pay check. Things should been letting up a little in a couple of weeks. If anyone can help out, I and the community would really appreciate it.

I see there haven't been any new podcasts. Matt and Warren, I hope you guys aren't waiting on me. Keep them coming and I'll catch up when I can.

I ordered a new Dell Inspiron E1505n with Ubuntu a couple of weeks ago and it arrived this past Tuesday. I haven't had much time to play with it yet but while I have a few minutes this morning I will post a quick review of my opinions and experiences so far over on the MEPISLovers forum.

Again, if anyone can help out with the transcripts please feel free to jump in, even if it's just a paragraph or two.

That review will be fun to see

Maybe you should post your request for help on MepisLovers, although typically requests for help on the Wiki do not see much response (not a single person picked up mine a month ago for help on the webcam database, for instance).

I think it is good to keep reminding people that the Wiki is supposed to be a community effort--and here is an area where anybody can pitch in.
