GeForce 6600 DDR PCI Express x16 Video Card

I have this system hooked up to a television via s-video. I was using ubuntu, in which I had to bring out an old crt monitor, then install the nvidia drivers and then I could hook up the s-video to my television screen and it worked fine.

Now I'm loving mepis, so I boot up the liveCD and the nvidia option works flawless, then when I go to install, right at the end when I'm supposed to see something about removing CD, I see the screen the way it shows when the drivers aren't working, which I can't see the screen what so ever.

I thought it was only during the installation process that I would see this. Well each time I use mepis, it boots up with an nvidia logo as normal, then works flawless, but when I click shutdown or reboot, the screen messed up again during the shutdown phase and the screen is the drivers weren't installed.

I'm guessing this is a bug, but wasn't sure where to post it.
