It is an IOMagic/Pinnacle tv card with a Phillips NTSC tuner.

I need to know exactly what tv card you have.
I need to know what it said on the box, what writing is on the card and on the chip on the card and
I need to know what lspci -v says the card is.
It could be a bttv card or a zoran card on my first checks

Next, thank you for making separate posts for each of the problems you are having. It will make it easier to answer, and help others in the future.
However, could you help us help you? Please provide more information on your hardware. What kind of box do you have? Is this a brand name? If so, what brand and model? Specifics man, specifics!
Please let us know what you know about the CPU, amount of memory, disk size, etc. No, that info is not useful for your TV card, but dropping these little bits about one single piece of hardware does not give us any clues.
Also, exactly what version of Mepis are you using, how did you get it or burn it, and did you install it or are you running from the Live CD?
