Danish language in Mepis?
I have installed MEPIS 6.5, and I want to have KDE, Firefox and Openoffice translated to danish.
That usually is no problem, but here in 6.5 it is impossible to have tsome of the danish language packs installed, as it means, that Firefox will be removed. Why is that so?
When I install language-support-da, Firefox is removed, and I dont want to use Konqueror as internet browser.
I have tried with other languages to, and it is the same thing.
Come on, if Firefox can only speak english, it seemes to me as a serious bug.

I think the problem resides in the metapackage.
If you install individual localization packages, you should not have a problem:
apt-get install kde-i18n-da openoffice.org-l10n-da myspell-da mozilla-firefox-locale-da thunderbird-locale-da
Newbie or not Newbie, there's always a question

current work is going on for French and Spanish
and when those ones are sorted out, we'll know the answer to your problem, and how to make it happen on a CD.
