I am curious why there is not the Breezy security update repo included in the source.list? I put it into my and I did find a package that needed updating. It was liblwres1
The breezy repository I used was:
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ breezy-security main restricted
Also, a question that has been on my mind is can I just have the security repositories in sources.list without being afraid of something breaking down?
I just want to make it easier to be secure without having to do massive downloads.
I think it is because Mepis

I think it is because Mepis uses its own repos for the restricted part of dapper. If you enable the Ubuntu ones, then Mepis will break. Breezy is, on the whole, obsolete for both Ubuntu and Mepis.
Mepis uses this:
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper-security main universe multiverse
