Rudi,
I have to agree with eadwine and would change the background (lack of!) colour - I've never found black attractive or easy to read on a webpage.
However, I just *love* the wallpaper called 'mepisfuturenv2.jpg' - easily my favourite to use with Mepis 6.5!
