Scanner of HP C4180

I need to buy a multifunction printer/scanner tomorrow. I was looking for specifications and HP C4180 seemed to be the multifunction for me, but...
I realized on HP site that on specification page it sais the scanner has a limit of 10.7 inches instead of the usual 11.5 (if I remember well the numbers). But I've seen the printer and the glass actually has 11.5 inchess.
I called HP support number and they sais the scanner has the limit of 10.7 inches but I think they are based on the web.
Anybody has the HP C4180 and can tell me if you can't really scan a complete A4 page (11.5 inchess) or not?
I'll really appreciate your help!

I'd say go with what the HP people tell you. Didn't you ask them if this was the actual info or if they looked on the site?
