USB Drive pops up Floppy Drive icon on desktop

When I plug in my USB drive I get a floppy drive icon on the desktop and one for the drive. How can I stop this.

... you can give us more information on your system. Give us as much information as you know on your hardware, as well as what version of Mepis you are using? Is it installed or are you running from the Live CD?
