dual booting from 2 hard-drives

I have 2 hard drives on my computer, one has XP already on it and the other is empty. I would like to install Mepis on the empty drive and have the option of running either OS's if possible. Does any one know if this is possible and where I could obtain the necessary info to make this happen?

Install MEPIS on the second drive and install GRUB when prompted on the first one. If you, for some reasons, don't want to install GRUB on the first drive there are alternatives:

Again, the easiest way is to install GRUB on MBR of the first disk.
