Hey folks!

So far I've been very happy while working with the first alpha on Debian Stable.

I'm now in remastering mode, created the squashfs file and the cd fs, mkisofs'ed it. It booted nicely until it came to buildxconfig and creating the media folder. It keeps telling me during bootup of the live CD that there's no space left on device.

Please give me a hint where I have to start screwing. S27mepis-init.sh is where the commands get executed if $INSTALLED="". Is my ramdisk too small? ... strange.

Btw, Warren, your linuxrc was way more easy to the eyes and brain than the Knoppix one you use in this release.

Best!

Indeed Ko,

that's the deep water of tech babble ... hehe.

The Knoppix-linuxrc (invisible packaged in the cdroms initrd.gz file) should mount the pseudo-writeable unionfs over the readonly squashfs filesystem and later hands over the startup process to init from the Squashfs, once the low level stuff is done.

Then Warrens S27init-mepis.sh in /etc/rcS.d creates a system configuration depending on the underlying hardware and writes the conf-files to /etc, which it does only partially in my case. So something is wrong but I'm not sure at which place.

Either /etc is still in /ramdisk and occupies too much space (my preconfigs are way large) or something is wrong with mounting the unionfs.

So a hint from other developers, where to look, would be very helpful.

Thanks for trying Ko =)

Cheers!
