How do I disable one of two sound cards?
Hello. I have a small problem: I have an on-board sound card that I need to disable (NVidia CK804 is what KMix calls it). The sound card I installed is an M-audio Audiophile 24/96 (also seen by KMix), and has work exactly once since I installed which leads me to believe that it will work again if I can just disable the on-board sound. How do I do this? Let me know!
Oh, and case you need to know, I'm using Simply-Mepis 2.6.15. Thank you in advance!

When you start up your computer you should see a message like 'Press Fx to setup BIOS'. Fx is usually F2 or F9, but it can be anything.
In the BIOS setup, you go to the section PCI, or peripherals or whatever, just browse, there aren't too many screens. There will be an option for your onboard sound and how to turn it off.
