Upgraded to SM 6.9.51_64. Can no longer open links in the body of email messages. Any solution?

Jon,thank you for your reply.I would like to explain what I have done so far. I got a message in synaptic that I had a broken package. Could not repair it so I reinstalled. When I tried to install updates same packages failed to install and clickable links still did not work. Reinstalled 6.5.02_64 and links work in Thunderbird but not the one in your post. I had another problem last week with another application as well. This leads me to believe that I'm going to have to fork over the cash for a new mobo and cpu soon.

Alfred, the 6.9.51_64 is Pre-Beta Code for Mepis 7, so it is expected that things are completely unstable and will break. So DO NOT try to use this release as stable.
Thanks for finding this. What I recommend is putting together as many details as you can and send them to to see if the fixes can be incorporated.
BTW, a new test version of SM 7 will be coming out soon. You might want to wait for it to come out, and do your test again to see what happens.
