CD ripping with K3B

I've just just been ripping some CDs to MP3s with K3B (using the LAME encoder), only to discover that they end up without track numbers. That is, the file names have track numbers, but the internal track number is not set, which means that the tracks turn up in the wrong order in Amarok. Anyone know how to fix this?

Well, so have I in the past.

Well, so have I in the past. But MEPIS 7.0 beta 5 doesn't come with it installed as standard, and since all I have is a laptop with limited hard drive space, I was working on the principle of, why have 2 pieces of software installed when one would do?

Although I'm now starting to wonder if it's an Amarok problem, since the database seems corrupted -- notes for one album are turning up attached to tracks from a different album, which can't be right.
