In Mepis 7.0 B5 media files not playing,

When we try to play a Windows media video, everything gets buffered over a very long period of time and then there is no video.

I'm not having the problem with beta5, but I have seen these problems before and the cure has always been to reinstall either Fire Fox or Mplayer or both. Hope that helps.
