Problems with k3b

I was getting burn errors while burning both DVD and CDRW, as test I removed the Mepis k3b files and installed the Debian Etch files and I'm now getting no errors.

Has anybody else been having problems with k3b or was it just me?

I haven't tried DVDs and CDRWs, but I've been using it for CDRs with no problems at all.
