Use the Search Feature

Before you post your question always try the forum search feature out first. Most people have probably experienced some of the same problems as you are having and gotten them fixed using helpful hints and tips from the forum members.
Try several different search criteria and try to be as specific as possible when searching. The search page has some good tips on how to specify your search criteria.
By using the forum search capability you more than likely will find the answer to your question without having to post.
If you can't find the answer you are looking for, or the suggestions you find don't fix the problem, then post stating your problem, be specific, and any steps you have taken to try and fix it.
See you on the forum,

As liz stated, Google does a much better job. Google's webbot has done a wonderful job indexing the Mepis site. I suggest trying the following in the Google seach box:

"Keywords" being whatever you are searching for either with quotes for the exact keyword or phrase only, or without quotes for any keyword or keywords in a phrase. Using the methods shown in this thread will greatly help anyone find the answers they need on the Mepis.org site.

Thank you all for these suggestions. I just went to Google to try it. Google works like a charm, much better than the search facility here!
Now to remember this. Maybe I'll tie a string around my finger. Hey! What are these other strings tied on my fingers?
