I've got an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ and a NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS graphics card, 2 gig RAM.
6.5.02_64 just locks up after about six lines of boot, whichever way or boot option chosen?
So, I'm back to PCLinuxOS again....
What about the motherboard,

Maybe you could try to see if MEPIS 7 Beta does the same thing... also it's important where it stops, what's the last message?
Anyway if PCLinuxOS works fine for you that's OK... you don't need to bother too much with this.
