Is the Mepis 6.0 still supported?
Is the WIKI 6.0 sources list the latest and approved list?
Much appreciated for any who might have the answer.
Thanks in advance,
Carl

I have a couple of computers that can't handle the X upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5, outside of that they both use the same Dapper sources.
Here's a link to the 6.5 FAQ: www.mepis.org/node/12163
The sources for 6.0 and 6.5 Ubuntu Media have changed and are now:
"deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ dapper free non-free"
For more info, here's a link to their page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu
If you want to try the 6.0 to 6.5 upgrade you will need to be very careful, just add this link to your sources:
"deb http://apt.mepis.org/mepis32-6.5/ mepis main"
I take no responsibility's for any breakage to your system.

Thanks for the reply,
I'll just keep what I have, I too could not handle the xorg.
Best to keep what works, and this works great,
Carl

For those who are having issues with X.org upgrades, if it is appropriate to your needs, consider trying AntiX. You'll find it along side MEPIS in the mirrors.

...with the upgrade is that now I can not figure out how to get my Dell Inspiron 700m to work with an external monitor or projector, since the solution we worked out for the Wiki
no longer works. Xorg.conf file is identical between M6 and M6.5, so the problem is not there. If anybody has an idea, I would appreciate it, b/c I use my Linux distro for professional presentations and may have to abandon MEPIS on that box
.
As good as it gets

Have you considered upgrading to 6.5?
