Install Printer

I'm installling his printer right now and as I go through the installation wizard everything is chuging along just great untill I get to the 'Test printer' stage. A window appears prompting me for a password for my user. I enter it and it doesn't accept it. I Figure that I just will go on to the next stage; and I do so. Then I get to the stage with the button that says 'Finish' on it. I click it and the window prompting me for the password appears again and, as before, it will not accept the password. I even verified that the password is correct by going to KUser and resetting the password. I even tried to set it manually with 'chpasswd :
' but that is either the wrong command or I am to tired to figure it out.

Is this a bug? What am I doing wrong?
