I could not get my LCD to display 1280x1024@ 75hz - not brilliant but an unobtainable maximum. The best I could get was 74hz which caused flickering and moire problems.
For anyone who doesn't know about it this is a fantastic little utility. I just copied and pasted the output into XF86Config-4, restarted and bosh - correct frequency.
