boot hang with BT878

I am setting up a new box with a bt878 TV card, booting from CD (2003-10-1) the boot process gets as far as the Bt878 card in the PCI devices section and hangs.
Has anyone dealt with this, any ideas

Like drlizau said, I had to take my ATI tv wonder card out to get it to boot.???? No one that I know of has found a way around it.
I really didn't use mine anymore anyways, so it wasn't really an issue for me.

Got an ATI AIW 128 Pro that boots just fine using the ati driver and performs well in all respsects.
However there is no TV. "No such device" and some Video4Lin thing. Agonizing as it works fine in XP with ASUS TV FM card based on Nvidia.

TV cards have all been treated the same on this forum. they've been removed to make things go.
