Hi all,
I am first timer to linux, can i get documentation for mepis, like how to use important features, how to add hardware and u knwo the basics of operating system that a user should know and advanced features that a developr hsould explore

A lot of your basic questions about how to use the OS can be answered by reading the help docs included with MEPIS (choose Help from the KDE menu). Many of the more advanced topics are not specific to MEPIS and can be answered by consulting any good Linux book (the O'Reilly one comes to mind).
