Can't get data from SBLive Optical

In MEPSI B05, I'm trying to record from my SBLiveDrive optical inputs. The data is definitely passing through the card, since I have sound from the speakers, but I can't record to either Audacity (although Audacity doesn't list optical in as an input source) or KWave choosing adsp or adsp0 as sources (or dsp or dsp0 for that matter). I've gone through alsamixer and turned on the IEC958 input, still nothing. Any ideas?
