802.11g Wireless Possible?

I have an all Airlink+ wireless network that includes a router (Model RT210W) and PCMCIA cardbus adapter (Model WLC3010). How can I get this combination to work with Mepis? This is an 802.11g network... Has this been successfully attemted in the past with Mepis?

Thanks for ANY ideas!

David

WLC 3010

The airlinkplus.com manual says at page 73:

Software Support
Microsoft WHQL certified for Windows XP, 2000, and ME. Linux and VxWorks embedded drivers

So the Linux Drivers should be already working in Mepis, at least they should work in the new version 2003.10 which is nearly ready. It's a Broadcom chipset in the card, Broadcom maintains own Linux drivers as I read somewhere.

And for the 54 MBit exists a sourceforge project:

Thanks stibs! I am testing with 2003.10 but perhaps I should just reinstall the OS all together instead of expecting a miracle?? I remember (after seeing your note) that the Broadcom chip was in this.... Guess I'd better start looking at the manuals again.

Thanks,

David

WirelessG Support

The only Linux WirelessG drivers in MEPIS are for the Atheros chipset. At this time I am not aware of any drivers for the new Brooadcom chipset.
