Installing New Nvidia driverDoes anyone have a procedure for installing the latest (or any) nvidia driver ? I downloaded the latest driver from nvidia but it seems that the kernal does not have some of the things the driver needs. It tries to rebuild the kernal but that fails as well to a gcc error. Any help would be appreciated. »

For some stange reason my XF86Config-4 does not have a driver section. Any ideas?

Does the live boot work ok? If so check the XF86Config-4 file and see if it has a driver section. If it does copy it into your /etc/X11 Directory. Be sure to edit it after you install the 3 other files mentioned in the last post.
