I have a problem when booting in mepis ,installeted from a live Cd , updated , i686.
System: AMD 1900+,GA-7AX mainboard,128 ram,
for activate cable modem motorola have to everyday start eth0.
How can I do it at boot ?

i try again to explain
as root after you start the motorola eth0 . look at the /etc/fstab?? file if theres an entry about the motorola eth0 modem , move that line above the?? ( #dynamic entrys)?? line so it will be permanent .

I'm not sure that's correct. Does a eth0 device get mounted?
Anyway before you try "fancy" things, make sure that you have eth0 enabled to start at bootup, take a look in Mepis System Center, eth0 tab.

looks like i put you on the wrong track ! did you try Mepis System Center on the eth0 tab and check the start at boot box ??? if you did and it still doesnt work can you post your version of Mepis and how youre starting eth0 ? may have to do a rethink on this .
