Epson C86 printer

I'm going to install Mepis 3.3 for the second time. It seems to be one of the best distros. I had trouble the first time where I went to install a printer, selected my Epson C86 off the list and then it said that it couldn't find the drivers. Why would it be on the list in the first place? Any work around to get the printer to work?
