Remote Desktop Like Application (That isn't VNC)

I'm running the latest build of Mepis Pro Beta.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that offers a GUI and similar options like VNC and Window's Remote Desktop.
I'd prefer not to use VNC for personal reasons but if I have no other choice I shall do what I must.
If anyone has any recommendations please let me know...

If your trying to connect to another linux, Desktop Sharing is the best way to go. It's in the systems menu.
