Package Mepis Kernel 2.6.11.6 - missing modules ?

I saw the 2.6.11.6 announcement here on mepis.org and I went and installed the package.
(keeping the old kernel around Eye-wink

It appears to me that many modules present in the Stock Mepis 3.3. 2.6.10 kernel are now missing in 2.6.11.6

/lib/modules/2.6.10 contains subdirectories
atheros, ivtv, kernel, misc, modem, net, nvidia, updates, wireless

2.6.11.6 has just
kernel

wher is the rest? my laptop doesn't work well without them (no wireless, no sound ...)
so that the new kernel is unusable to me Sad

Yes, you need to install kernel-extras, alsa-modules and ndiswrapper.

BTW I can't install ndis-wrapper for 2.6.11.6 as synaptics complains about the ndiswrapper utils that it can't install
