How do I install the latest kernel and kde?

Is there a how to somewhere that will show me how to install the latest kernel and also how to upgrade to kde3.4?

What mepis do you have ?
Teh version I use (3.3) has KDE 4.3.3 installed.

Open Synaptic and look for installed applications.
