Multiprocessors

Hi, I just saw your post and wanted to reply as it appears no one else has. Yes, Gnu/Linux supports multiprocessors (SMP) and that includes Mepis. SMP = symmetric multiprocessor, a term for multiple processors in a computer. I run a dual AMD Athlon Mepis and it is very snappy. Other distributions such as Suse and Red Hat also support SMP. Good luck.

You need ot use SMP kernel.

You need ot use SMP kernel. I know that Mepis provided one 2.6.11.6 I think. I don't know if it's still available. You could pick another one (not official) from www.mepislovers-wiki.org/mepislovers/downloads/kernels/2.6.13.3-smp/
