My Desktop OS = MEPIS

I am new to SimplyMEPIS and I must say that I love it. After trying many other debian based distros (Linspire, Kubuntu, Ubuntu) and this one is at the top of my list. Mainly for having mplayer and realplayer installed and working. I have only really seen Linspire with mplayer installed and working. I am a semi linux newbie and this one was easy to setup, install and use from the beginning.

A ton of apps available and the package manager makes installing and upgrading so simple. I even decided to install this on my most powerful computer at home and the weaker one for my wins box. My wins box is just a server for MEPIS to pick up my videos and music.

Hereis what I mean:

2.8 GHZ P4 1MB Cache
1GB PC3200 DDR RAM Dual Channel
80GB 8MB 7200RPM Hard Drive

Love this distro. I am making it my staple operating system. Way to go open source community. It is so hard to believe that this distro is free and put together by hard working individuals. My congratulations. Now point me to where I can donate to help support.
