SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1 Enters Test02
Morgantown, WV, May 6, 2005: MEPIS has begun testing the SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1.test02 pre-release of the bootable CD. This is believed to be the final test version of SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1.
SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1.test02 is available from the MEPIS subscription site and the usual mirror sites. SImplyMEPIS is, and will continue to be, available for free download from public mirrors.
Acrobat Reader has been updated to 7.0 and the mimetypes configuration has been modified to use Acrobat automatically. The MEPIS OS Center now includes a one-click selection of the Synaptic touchpad driver.
The apt sources were incorrect in test01. That has been fixed for test02.
