Where to get MEPISLite?
I would like to give MEPISLite a try on some older machines, but can't find a link to its ISO location. I volunteer with a group that reburbishes and gives away computers to the needy and would would like to get them off of Windows 98. These machines tend to be in the 300MHz range w/64 MB RAM and I need something lightweight. Does Lite use KDE or something like xfce?
Thaks in advance.
Thanks

Now I just have to decide between the 1 month or the 6 month subscription! The money is worth it if it helps to make MEPIS even better than it already is.
My next big problem... where can I get a MEPIS Linux T-shirt with the Egyptian Tux on it!!! (hint)

Not a bad idea at all! I'll pass it on. David, are you listening?
Also, I paid for a one-year subscription. I figure it still less than half of what I was paying to purchase SuSE Pro which, though very very good, I have switched from for most of my systems.

I went ahead and got a 6 month subscription. Got my MEPISLite. Download speed on the MEPIS ftp server is great, too.
BTW, I think Tux would look nice against a nice Sahara sand-colored T. I'll be needing mine in XXL.

Gee Jim, you don't ask for much do you? First you expect a great operating system, then you expect T-shirts in your size! Next thing, you will want to be able to DOWNLOAD the T-shirt
I tell ya' this volunteer pay sucks
I passed on your suggestion to the "Powers That Be".
Let us know how MepisLite works for you!

and I'd like to try out MepisLite on an older machine that has a AMD K6 processor with 6G HD and SIS 530 chipset. I looked for it in my account, for there is information about it there, but cannot find the ISO to download.
I need someone to steer me in the right direction.
Thank you for your time!

Hello steelbottom,
The MepisLite configuration is still being tested and is only available with a subscription. A subscription to Mepis will allow you access to the ftp servers where MepisLite as well as some "extras" CDs are available. The shortest term for a subscription is one month (USD 14.95), but that would allow you to get a copy of the ISO
