klamav klammail? the fun continues

Well, since clamav was already installed, I installed klamav, the front end gui. It seems to work OK, despite a few rough edges.

However, I recently noticed that I now have a fair number of files in my /home directory, all named klammailxxxxxx, where xxxxxx seems to be some kind of alphanumeric hash. These are files of type "Email Message" according to Konqueror. I can open them in any text editor and they are my recent email messages, with headers.

There are no viruses or other problems in the emails, and the emails are still available in Kmail. So what are these things and why are they growing in my /home directory?

Anybody?
