Kaffeine?

Need some help.
After downloading and unzip kaffeine-0.6 I tried to use "make"
but I get this message below instead, Whats this mean?
fvs@1[~]$ cd kaffeine-0.6/
fvs@1[kaffeine-0.6]$ make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

I have kaffiene and mplayer in my usr/local/bin but it wont open as a gui so I can't use either? They wont launch when called in my terminal.

Hmmm. You might try reinstalling. What error message do you get when you type "kaffeine" in a terminal window?

I think you're still trying to build from source. I'm suggesting you install the Debian binaries. If you do, they'll end up in /usr/bin, not /usr/local/bin.

I don't know how to get them? I went to debian and when I clicked on Kaffiene download it took me back to the same kaffiene download?
Sorry I'm confused. Need more details.

then
apt-get install kaffeine kaffeine-mozilla

fvs, try it again but this time use lowercase k e.g.apt-get install kaffeine kaffeine-mozilla

kaffeine and kaffeine-mozilla are both available with apt-get or synaptic. A much less painful way to install.
