Hi can somebody help me I'm at a loss as to why ethernet and sound do not work.I installed mepis 3.3.2 test 02 on 2 different computers.With mepis 3.3.1-2 test 02 all was fine.I've tried to run the newest release3.3.2 test02 on 2 different computers with the same results no sound or internet connection.My computers are first- asus mother board with a pentium 4 3ghz processor with 1024 ram.The second one is - amd athlon 1000 with 512 ram.This happens on both computers .Also tried soho with the same results?????

Tried the sound it returned device/dev/dsp can't be opened no such device.Network interface recogonizes address.Ran modconf utility,it returned message no interface found.

1st of all, it is of course still a test version. Send mail to dev at mepis.org if you think you've found an issue. My guess though would be:
for sound: run alsaconf as root in a terminal and adjust volumes
for network: mark the checkbox that says Internet/WAN port in the tab of the network interface that is connected to your lan (eth0 most probably).
