Network card not working

Just downloaded and burned the simplymepis 3.3.2.test03 beta. It does not run my network card properly. I am not sure if it even detects it.
From the OS center, anything I do to it will not get it on to my network. Anything I do to the settings does not help. It does not get an IP from our local DHCP server nor do static IP's seem to help.
I have tested this card under windows, and Mepis 3.3.1, and both work with it just fine. I have had this same issue under the latest version of mepis with about 3 cards now, and I really have no idea why.

Well, a couple of new things about this. Using the older kernel, the network card works just fine. The kernel difference is probably what caused the change before, because the kernels under mpeis 3.3.1 are different from mepis 3.3.2. Though this does not solve me problem of wanting to use a modern kernel.
Still, if I could get some kernel sources, I am planning to build my own (for use with AMD 64 and SMP). See my post here for details
